Nowhere in the Bible is child-love prohibited. The only thing prohibited is sex outside of marriage.

In my interpretation of 1Corinthians 7:36, it even states that you may get married once the girl has reached puberty (the flower of her age).

It's people who haven't read The Bible; or those who have and wish to disregard the meaning or twist it, that give Christianity a bad name. Though I see your reasoning, it's a little prejudice to classify a whole religion as harmful, based on the actions of a few. I agree, many people have committed such atrocities in the name of God. But we shouldn't all be judged those few people.
