Yes Sigma, you are absolutely correct in your argument - I said as much myself in my reply to Dissy's post.
There is a tangible pressure on MHPs to 'behave themselves' and do/say/think whatever their masters dictate to them; their masters being those who benefit from the profits that the CSA industry brings, and who have a vested interest in its perpetuation. However, I think that this B4UAct workshop has demonstrated that there are cracks beginning to appear in this oligarchy, and that we may be witnessing the beginning of something new in this area. We may be seeing the start of the collapse of the traditional structure. I also think that this is perhaps a growing movement, rather than a static or shrinking one, and that we must show our support in its continuation in any way that we can. I have a feeling that this may be a key element in our struggle forwards... There is, I feel, much to feel optimistic about. I very much hope that everyone else here can join me in feeling this optimism, whatever their doubts. |
