What about another possibility - that porn fusions with mainstream genres?? In such a sexually open society, there wouldn't be a reason to make porn movies inaccessible for minors to watch. In turn, this would mean that "mainstream" movies could be a lot more sexual than they are, even including stuff that we today would consider porn.

So, all that said, why would it simply not happen that your average tv matinee coming-of-age film would have some sex scenes with the 11yo??

Now, is that or is that not porn???

I am simply pointing out to something that's always bugged me - that porn is considered a separate genre from anything else, which I don't think is true. You can make a piece of any genre and put explicit sex into it. In that sense, I think "porn for the sake of porn", ie, the type of videos / movies where the whole action is a sex scene with no outside plot at all, will probably disappear or become a very niche market [*]. But I see no reason why porn with actual stories (which is still not uncommon in more softcore productions) will disappear, and I do see explicit sex scenes becoming integrated into mainstream movies and television.

[* Within that niche market reasoning, I can see more "porn for the sake of porn" being shot with "non-porn" celebrities, as part of treats to fans, eg, but I still don't think there would be all that much material done in this way.]

Would that be less porn, or more porn, or the same but distributed differently??

I don't know, really...
