'New-Jew' sounds like an antisemetic (or whatever) ethnic/religious sort of slur.

Just because a crime happens to a CL doesn't mean it's a crime against them as a member of that community.

Of course, it's possible that vigilantes wanting to commit terrorism and assault like this might imply it's done for other reasons to throw suspicion off and mislead.

Kind of like how if you're assassinating someone for monetary reasons you might have the guy you hire shout "free palestine" or something to make it seem like terrorists did it.
