"Where are as a society that we feel this way toward another human being?"

The solution is "simple":
leave society.

I do not believe it to work for the greater good, but for private interests profiting only to certain groups of people;

There's an organization here in Canada forming to just do that precisely, as we have gathered enough information to do it now.

There's a lot of knowledge to get first on how it's possible to do so, how the system works etc... to understand this all...

I don't know what will be the outcome of this but I have come to a time where society is no longer (and has probably never have since my teenage years) bringing me anything good, and it has abused of its power enough, it's pissing me off enough to get out of it entirely.
