I have been largely accepted by people I know in real life, despite the fact that they know that I advocate physical intimacy with children. In many cases, this includes folks who have young children themselves. Ergo, "not advocating adult-child sex" is not necessary to acceptance.

You have proven nothing beyond the fact that you have gone to DU (I'm not sure I actually know what that is) and found some acceptance amongst folks whom you have obviously convinced that you are a decent guy and not an imminent threat to anybody.
