Your two statements.

Our committee has already adopted a statement almost identical to your first statement.

With your permission I would like to propose the exact wording of your second statement to the committee. I like the way it is worded very much and it says what it says better than does the somewhat similar statement currently adopted.

I will soon post all of the statements we have so far adopted, for comment and criticism.
