I still think Todd was an excellent choice...he was out and willing to use his home addy to get the money...I mean what else could you have done except send the money to the GC donations box? I can't think of anyone else who would have been able to help the way he did. I can understand how afraid he is of getting in legal trouble (even though he did nothing wrong)...they'd not hesitate to use him as a scapegoat.
I do think he will find a way to make the money useful to kids, and I don't think for a second he'll simply just "spend it". I do agree the people who DID donate should have all been given a vote (OFF board) about what to do with the funds. I was upset by that...if I had given my own money I would have wanted SOME say in how it was distributed.
Let's not let this unforuntate circumstance sour us on giving to and helping kids. Hell, there are still many child charities that REALLY need the money. Save the Children does NOT give a fuck about kids, nor do they even use their money to help kids. Sad.
