I just wanna see if ive got this part right. I realise I may not but just want to check. This: "he realized that some people had it in mind to play this game endlessly with other charities rather than just give the money to those who deserved it and leave it at that".

So do other charities - even if they have nothing to do with children, such as cancer research and the like - not deserve the money just as much as charities who only deal with children? Or is it that I have just misunderstood that?
