You probably wouldnt find my response too surprising so long as you keep in mind that I am in no way surprised that Save the Childrens response was so vindictive and pathetic. I saw something like this coming, and Im glad Todd isnt escalating it any further. Then again, I was called fatalistic when I bitched about this before it happened. Of course, maybe I was being fatalistic, and only appear to have been proved correct in the same way that a broken clock is still right twice a day ;)

Everything you said in your secondly paragraph I agree with, but what we should be able to do isn't the issue now. We shouldnt feel the need to seek out something like GC, but we do. Acting as we should be allowed to act is good and principled, but is unlikely to result in very much positive in itself, as the StC debacle shows.
