Kea, Really. We live in a FAR more liberal culture than we did 40, 30, 20 - even 10 years ago. To say that "fascism" is on the rise because of Christianity is just wrong. Despite fundamentalism, our culture has become increasingly liberal. I argue again, that it's because of the rise of our "instant-information" culture and electronic communities where we can express our grievances in real-time that it only SEEMS like things are "worse". The belief that this current Bush/Religious Right crisis is any different from other bad times in America is not born out by the facts of history.
