See my post above under Eeyore's thread about "Fascism in America." The media runs with the information they have in this information-drenched culture and it's wrong so much of the time - but the initial reports are what's remembered. This is happening in politics today to make people believe the sky is falling. The speed of information causes panic.....whether it be about child abductions, or the latest "sky is falling" news about "fascism" in America. I'm no fan of Bush, but we must recognize that things are over -hyped in this day of instant information and its dissemination by the Internet, 24/7 cable news, etc. I go into more detail in my response to Eeyore's "fascism" thread above.
