To repeat what I said in my intro post on this board:

I was singled out (as the only pedophile I knew, I was alone, and therefore "singled out" even though I knew there were others like me) as the target for other people's hatred, persecution, and intolerance. Years ago, I wrote in my diary "If a kind, loving, sensitive person who happens to be abnormal is reviled, shunned, hated, and persecuted for many years for being abnormal, that won't turn him into a kind, loving, sensitive, normal person. Instead it will turn him into a hateful, angry, dangerous, abnormal person. If that isn't what you want, then stop the hateful persecution."
