Sometimes I think that our individual lives are so small and insignificant. We all worry about things that will happen to us, our parents worry, but in the end, we're just another spec of dust flying through the cosmos. This is why I like talking to others; it joins us to something larger. Sometimes I make a mistake and I tell someone too much. But the next time, I'm more refined; I know just that bit more about what -not- to say. I find that it's good to talk to people who want to know more about you. Personally, I like to start with people I know, but if one's parents think that a psychologist or therapist is the key, then I've tried that too (in fact, I'm currently doing that). Friends of family and/or friends of friends is where things get taught. I've learned -not- to tell these people unless one has permission -or- if the friend of family/friend switches allegiance from them to you (never had it happen to me, but if it did, I would consider it just cause to tell them -without- the permission of friend/family who they knew better originally). Otherwise, you'll get in that oh so annoying situation of them telling you that they -wished- you hadn't told them. Now -that- is annoying. And you can also get a punch in the cheek or something from the family member/friend who knew them better for your efforts. Or atleast that's what happened to me :-p.
