1) Why is it that nearly every bible-thumping Christian I meet feels the need to tell me I'm going to hell after I reveal to them I'm an agnostic? Leave me the fuck alone. Keep your religion to yourself...I certainly try to keep mine to myself.

Well, the very nature of an evangelical religion is that one is not supposed to just keep it to oneself, so you ask such a person to do the impossible. If one really believes that there is a God and one really believes that non-believers will end up in hell and one really believes that God wants believers to try to convert non-believers it would be entirely irresponsible (to say the least) to hold those beliefs and not try to convert you.


2) Why is it that the only American that can pull-off a British accent is Mike Myers and the only Brit that can pull-off an American accent is Gary Oldman?...that's pissed me off for awhile. Damn, these actors and actresses get paid millions...take some speaking lessons.

Well, not all can do it, but a lot more than just these two can. Olivia D'Abo played Karen Arnold - sister to Kevin - on the show The Wonder Years for five years. She is a Brit and was convincing as an American teenager of the 60s. Then there is Ryan Phillippe in Gosford Park, and I could go on and on.

Oh yeah. Mike Myers is not American. He is a Canadian and his parents came from Scotland, so in the film So I Married An Axe Murderer the Scottish father he plays is him doing an impression of his own father.


Puzzled
