Do you not think many of those sordid outcomes could be prevented if children were allowed the freedom to learn and talk about sex as soon as possible? Like they are in places like the Netherlands? Why would children keep abuse a secret if sex wasn't shrouded in so much social hysteria?

I am in favor of comprehensive sex education. I am fine with peers playing "doctor" with each other. I love the idea that parents and society should create an environment where kids can talk about sexual things without shame. I really like the idea of a society where when a girl is subjected to sexual activity against her will, she would be inclined to say, "God, what an asshole he was!" rather than "What's wrong with me? Why did he pick me? If I didn't struggle I must have wanted it or been a bad girl... Am I ruined?" etc.

Hands-on demonstrations or experiences with other people of sexual arousal have virtually no added value with regard to those desired improvements.
