This makes me slightly wary of participating, even if my primary attraction were to girls/young women (I'm non-exclusive, attracted to women of many ages) -- it sounds like the same (sadly "standard") fallacious lumping of trans* women (who are women) in with cisgender men (who are men) which both skews results and perpetuates misconceptions about gender. Glad to see that this kind of research is being done, especially if it helps toward shattering misconceptions about MAPs... but very disappointed if it also reinforces misconceptions about -- or worse yet, renders invisible -- gender non-conforming people. |
