ToyBOX, the world’s first-ever child-love social network, is now open to the public. More than just a social networking site, ToyBOX is also a multi-blogging platform designed to help childlovers keep their blogs, thereby establishing a more visible and diverse presence online. It is the ultimate solution to the "Childlover Sit-in" days when popular sites like Blogger and MySpace continually kicked us off for who we are and what we have to say.

Ideally, I believe this idea will help solve several needs in the community:

1. When you post on a forum like GC or BC, you essentially speak to the entire forum. This causes certain posters who don’t fit in quite as well to feel ganged up on or discriminated against when their ideas are meet with harsh replies. A social networking format allows users to associate with those whom they feel mutually comfortable. Here, you can have your own 'mini-forums' where only your friends can post on your wire, start and administrate a group, and, of course, speak out from the soapbox that is your blog.


2. This site will allow people new to the child-love community who are perhaps just coming to terms with their attractions learn and develop with exposure to real ideas and socialization, not just the 'community line,' which is also important to experience, but which can get stale after awhile. ToyBOX also presents itself in a new and exciting format, with a focus on something rather lacking in our typically guarded lives – an emphasis on personal connection.


3. Looking ahead, this site may even help you find friends offline at your own discretion. Such practices should be warned against and perhaps even discouraged, of course, but we cannot always be too afraid to establish real connections with each other as times progress and our movement for civil rights and, eventually, acceptance moves forward.

Now that this site is officially open to the public, you may sign up, create or import a blog, start a group (there is a hidden feature to support activism, though it currently has a few bugs), and join the forums. Play around with it! The site is still under development and only about 90% functional, so if you come across any bugs or something that doesn't seem to work right, then send a message to the administrator or leave a comment in the forums. In fact, if you have any ideas at all, such as how to make the site better or safer, don't be afraid to speak up. There is still a lot to do and plenty of room to add more features.
