For civilization to get where it is today, many people had to suffer. Many still do suffer. If we are always content to eat the half we have and not go looking for the other half, there is little opportunity to grow. To be sure it is not everyone's place to suffer in the name of a particular cause or change, but without those sort of folks, where would we be today? "Oh well I guess we can worship our religion privately as long as the church or the government doesn't catch us and we are careful to lie and cover up about it in public..." Didn't cut it for some folks, and they spoke up. And they were persecuted for many years, but eventually change came about.

I dunno, just playing Devil's Advocate here, as there are always several correct philosophies... each person must discover the path that suits him
