Kevin, I'm sorry you've been going through all this. It's completely evil and unfair. They might as well be beating you up because you're a different religion, or skin color, or whatever else. All those things would warrant a huge investigation with top priority. But for one of "our type", they say we deserve it. Nice to see that humanity is making progress along the evolution towards understanding, love, compasion, and enlightenment...

I heard a news story a while back where two gay men were in a wooded park very late at night (2am or so) and they were assaulted by a group of men. The two gay men were having sex, but no one was around (being so late at night, and they were in a secluded place). The police figured that a half dozen men saw them and secretly followed them to the park. When the men caught up with them, they attacked the lovers with fists, kicks, stomping, and a crow bar. The one man was killed, and the other was paralyzed from his waist down. The media was in an uproar over it, making a big story about hate crimes against homosexuals. The police were all over the case to catch the attackers, making speaches about how unbelievably evil the attackers are. They were all caught, but I don't know anything else more than that. It takes so long for court and all that these days that they probably still haven't been sentanced. But terms such as "hate crime" and "an act of pure evil" were thrown around constantly when the news story broke.

And then there's us. Apparently we deserve such treatment...
