Quite simply, the only thing that would prove you are not the same as the other person would be you coming out in full: full name, home address and such. Which by the way is not allowed on GC unless you're 18+. Anything less than that would never be verifiable in certainty. Even if you appeared in some video with the other person, that wouldn't prove anything if we cannot verify that "teen girl" and "30yo" are not really working one for the other. There is no sure proof that you can give short of full outing; and there are MUCH better reasons not to out than the reason there is for outing.




As a further reflection, does this affect your credibility??? Of course it does.

But the fact than on GC everyone lives mostly out of credibility means also that you can rebuild it. Anyone can lose some and rebuild it; and anyone can gain a lot and dilapidate it. I have witnessed examples for both, but veterans will remember just by my mentioning and newbies will not know the nicks anyway, so I don't want to tell.

If someone does not believe you, then so be it. I know for certain that there is no poster on GC, not even in the Admin team (and certainly not myself either), that everyone else has a good opinion of. It should not matter to you if any given poster(s) do not have a good opinion of you for whatever reason. You cannot let this affect you; and especially, you cannot let this make you take wishfully stupid steps, like outing would be. The only way those "on the fence" will believe you will be with enough time passing and if you do behave all the time to a standard that creates credibility. Those who will still choose not to believe you after such a period will not believe you unless and until you out completely. You have the decision whether doing the most stupid thing of your GC career trying to attract the support that others have already expressed for you without need of you becoming Kevin / Lindsay / Norbert / Todd... or keeping your cool and living through it and being showed right by your own deeds in the day to day of GC...
