Same issue applies to the registry lists: again silly to selectively discriminate against the minor crime of rape (in comparison to murder and assault) when condemning criminals who have served their sentences, but that is what you should address, not "they're taking our homes!".
Minor? Are you kidding me? Are you aware of what sorts of injuries a sexual assault can illicit? Broken bones, lacerations, tissue damage in general, not to mention pregnancy and disease. Yeah, thats minor alright. Thats about as intrusive of ones bodily rights as you can get. Its severity in comparison to murder is arguable, though that really depends on the case. But Generally speaking it is very easily just as bad, if not worse than regular assault. I have been through both, believe me, I would rather be brutally beaten than raped, any day. I think most rape victims would agree. |
