He's no longer around. He's more or less "disappeared".

I've heard stories about what possibly happened to him, and is all I can tell you is that it either sounds really GOOD, or really BAD. There's no way of telling for sure on the information I have.

I cannot tell you more out of respect to the person who told me. That person will likely contact you, because he will see your message. But I wouldn't expect a heck of a lot more information... I don't think anyone knows for sure where he is!
