Hulk Hogan was suspended and effectively banned from WWE in July 2015 after audio recordings leaked from a 2012 sex tape scandal revealed him using racial slurs. WWE terminated his contract, removed him from their website, and removed him from the Hall of Fame. He was reinstated by WWE in July 2018 following public apologies and volunteer work.
