I would be lying to say I never wrote a few dire letters myself, but like the Moody Blues guy, I never actually sent them. It did help me get my emotions out, and if you can leave the name out of them, they might be good to hold onto and check years later. I had one going all the way back to my post high school years that I found 20 years later. My face contorted with painful embarrassment to see my younger self quoting a heavy metal ballad to my younger love interest. Ugh. IT DOESN'T GET ANY WORSE!
So I speak from experience. To my fellow next-gen girl lovers, don't send those letters you write when you're not thinking straight. Please? It's a really bad look for all of us, and it almost always makes things worse, sometimes MUCH worse. Notice I also didn't use the word "evidence" even once. |
