If there is one, I'm in favor of it being limited to helping organizations together that make standards. This is similar to how it is now, though the education department has been slowly taking more and more power.
Also studying which states, and school boards do it better. It would have to formed with that scope and made that they can never exceed that though. Nothing wrong with completely handing it over to the states. It's amazing to me that the U.S. spends more per child than any country in the world and yet are so far down the list in terms of education. And the solution favored by the vast majority of people in polling is that education needs more money. Such as when they showed that Baltimore schools were in the top 10% in funding per child but over half the public schools in the city didn't have a single child at grade level. But, the solution is to give them more money of course. |
