He's a special kind of brilliant for sure. But I'm not the best person to ask. We have way more astute people for that. I've been mostly absent from the film scene for some time, but once in a while I hear about little gems that seem to promise no merriment-killing eye-rolls.

Many people, maybe even a majority of people, go to watch movies in order to escape for a few hours. Something that allows them to leave current personal and societal problems on the shelf for a brief period. That's why they pay money. I know Jack is a wizard at that, and I hope he never gets bribed into anything political.

We're ALL fans of School of Rock here at GC, as you probably remember. Well, at least I still am. Miranda Cosgrove really pushed my buttons. For some strange reason, I also remember seeing her wonderful penmanship example when she was still a kid. How this made me even more amorous for her, I'll never quite understand.

But yeah, anything Jack Black... (Makes the "racist" okay sign).

Which kids? We talking real life, or wishes? I have no actual kids in my life anymore these days. I wax nostalgic.
