I once stumbled upon a little girl in a store who was clearly lost and crying. She was probably four. I would likely not do this anymore these days, but I asked her if she was lost and she nodded. I said "awww.." and then said "Let's take you to the people who can help you. Would that be okay?" She said yes, and I took her hand as I told her my name and asked hers. As we approached the front desk area, employees could see immediately what was going on. I just smiled and said "I think we're lost." I handed her hand off to another woman and waved goodbye to her. This is not worthy of any special praise. This is simply what a true girl lover does, or any other normal adult for that matter. It's a shame so many adult men (me likely included now) would choose not to assist, for fear of what other adults might assume.

There was an investigative tv show, probably from the 2000's or 2010's, with a name similar to What Would You Do? It showed some fascinating social experiments, many times involving a child. Sometimes amusing, like the sexy spoiled brat girl in a clothing store, but sometimes more than a little heartbreaking, like the sobbing little kid that many trustworthy adult males were too afraid to stop and help. When asked later, they admitted a fear of people getting the wrong impression. That should not be, but that is *exactly* what the great early 2000's pedo scare did to adult men in the West, and its influence lingers on today. A product of a mainstream media which employed people's kids for mass social fear and psychological manipulation, all for financial profits. Unacceptable.

Big media was our enemy then, and it is infinitely more true today. Anyone still feeding on its teet for their understanding of Truth in 2024 is a deadweighted liability to everyone around them.

I'm glad you were sharp-eyed and helped her, Baldur. Not a surprise at all that you did:)
