We have discussed in the past the disturbing trend toward earlier puberty in girls, and recent research has found some possible culprits. Most concerning appears to be a synthetic scent called "musk ambrette" which is used in some personal care products. Keep in mind however that more research will be needed to confirm this. It is good to see that such research is being done, however.
