Mostly agree.

Most of the crap getting churned out is junk, woke, or both. Writers who came mind as talented are actually a scant few.

Also, how many damned superhero movies can adults endure/consume? Apparently, quite a few.

Lots of cgi, no meaningful plots. I can't even remember the last time I sat my butt down in a movie theater.

Yeah, as I said in another post.. sick of the virtue.. sick of the careful selection of representation over realism and talent. Personally sick of watching females taking down males three times their size with judo moves.

So yeah, I am more or less onboard with your sentiments. It's the same alienation I've had for the latenight tv shows. Really miss the days of Letterman.

Destruction of culture on so many fronts, and it's no accident. Hollywood can mostly suck it.
