There are many more sites than just these. Many are harder to get to, newer, or change platforms frequently as the hosts take them down. Oddly enough stability does not lead to more activity as some get dozens of posts/messages a day.

Having multiple options is certainly good as people can go to whatever suits them better. Different strokes for different folks.
