Let's admit it: I am not a great fan of Pakistan. But there is something in her voice... and most of her songs are sad. There is something there that combines some of the most exotic characteristics of Indian and Arabic music - or in this case Islamic music, although luckily she is not a religious singer: many of the players in her "band" look quite modern.
