Since Hollywood has become almost entirely trash at this point. Making a mockery of anything I liked during childhood. (The new Scooby Doo being the final straw, look at Fred he's so funny, because he's stupid white and blond. Aren't white men so stupid and funny? The episode was like 20 minutes long and 5 of it was making fun of white men. Especially blonde white men who are the stupidest of them all.)

So I've switched over to non-western media. For live action Alice in Borderland is good, squid game, there was a South Korean high school zombie tv show which I can't remember the title of right now, but it was good.

But, the real highlight has been the anime. Some slight spoilers, but I'm not trying to spoil the main plot or anything.

ZombieLand Saga- Great story about mostly highschool/young adult girls getting a second chance at life. The dude in it is amazing as their leader so comical. There is a trans girl who died when she started getting mustache hairs. I was cringing waiting for the Western Media's take of her father hates her and is a bad dad, because in Western Media we can't both have a smart and caring father and even if you have one of those you never have both. Not this show! Cause it's not Western Media crap. Nor does it devote several episodes to how much normal people hate trans people. She's there, she's accepted, and that's the end of it. So refreshing.

Spy X family- Spy dad adopts a daughter and then fake marries a lady to keep up appearances for being a spy. The real star is the cute daughter who is 4 trying to keep up the appearance of being 6 for an elite school so her dad can make connections with other elites. Her expressions and how she acts nails being a kid so well. It would be hard for anyone not to love her.

Erased/ Boku dake ga Inai Machi- Guy goes back in time to befriend a little girl who was ignored. Lot more than that, but I don't want to spoil it. Amazing story. References pedophilia though it was the story of don't judge too quickly those who get accused. It was sooooo good.

honorable mention- Jobless Reincarnation/Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu- A middle aged dude dies and is reincarnated as a little boy. He then tries to see other little girls naked or get involved with them and is very obviously sexually attracted to them. That's not the main storyline, but it's just interesting that it involves pedophilia in a very popular anime. It's also pretty good.
