For me, the failure on asstr.org is no sort of "we're down" message, but simply a "hang" -- not responding quickly enough. That suggests that maybe something hasn't been updated, or some server went down -- a passive failure, rather than someone's active decision to close it down.

I would dearly love any information on what "xyz" means in comparison to "org". I'm interested in whether people who used to look at the ".org" version will find out about this asstr.xyz version. And I'll be interested to know if authors can post new material via the asstr.xyz version.
