There are and have been so many destroyed cities -- in the antiquity and in modern times.
Aleppo is 8000 years old, and they say that Damascus is 11000 years old. Jericho may be equally old, "one of the earliest continuous settlements in the world, dating perhaps from about 9000 BCE". (I have visited Jericho and also the excavations there.) Aleppo is in a sad condition, and so are some cities in Ukraine -- Mariupol comes to mind. "Mariupol, Volnovakha, Rubizhne, Popasna, Lyman and Severodonetsk were completely destroyed. In Kharkiv, part of the Pivnichna Saltivka residential district was also completely destroyed." And all those cities during the second world war: Cologne, Hamburg, Dresden and Berlin, and the Japanese cities of Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And some cities in England were heavily bombarded by Nazis. But I don't know if this catalogue is what you meant. And... honestly, I don't know how child love could help here at all, I don't even understand the question, because pedophilia is not a religious question to me. Of course, if people loved children, they would not try to kill them. Good to see you again. ![]() |
