Having low expectations about something almost always improves my experience.

The question is how to have low expectations about everything. ie it does not work to try and delude myself into believing that the chocolate sundae I bought will taste like shit. Because I know it will not.

Which leads it to fail to live up to my expectation and so on and forth.
