...my attraction base slides into the older teens and 20s, much as yours does, so I can most definitely appreciate a girl like Emma. And yes, I too have an age difference from her that would make a relationship with her sufficiently "inappropriate" in our culture. Of course, I may not be as attracted to 19-20-something year old women as I am with (particularly) girls in pubescence to early teens, but the attraction on all levels is still definitely there, and at least with young women 18 and up I can have legal romantic relationships with them and we can both give the finger to the bigoted society that would condemn us for our feelings.

Considering the situation we're in, you just have to look at the silver linings wherever you may find them.
