The most hateful ruler I used to know** is that Syrian longneck dictator, a curlew, and it was really infuriating that Putin helped him stay in power, though the longneck should have gone long ago in the surges of the Arab string.

No doubt Putin tries to destroy Ukraine, but let's hope that he irreversibly destroys his own future at the same time.
