Bundy was not just a serial killer, but he was smart enough to escape prison several times to continue killing.

It's examples like him which prevent me from opposing capital punishment entirely. If someone is an ongoing and serious threat to innocent people, I am in favor of removing that threat.

Of course there are people in this world who would classify us as being similar to Bundy and who are doing their best to remove us, which ironically makes them an ongoing and serious threat to innocent people, in need of removal. Sadly there's no cure for stupidity or willful blindness.
