But honestly that so much media are devoted to awful crimes and perpetrators, real or fictional, is definitely a factor to societal desensitization to violence. While we're fascistic with sex and now scandalized with the tiniest hint of racism, sexism or homophobia, even if it is relevant or historically accurate; when TW bans Trump over supposed involvement in Jan 6 (I won't say anything about whether it was justified or whether the methods were adequate: the point here isn't about the politics but about censoring the Donald) and Minaj (a very followed music celebrity) over her vaccine questioning, among several cases with different topics in several networks; but violence is fine: obviously we have a problem.
Would I outright censor this film? Probably not. But I would certainly make it hard to watch. Same as stuff like the Squid Game or most slasher movies and forensic science shows.
