Spending prime younger years self-absorbed on the internet or with video games or whatever else it is, if you have the ability to create a working RL relationship that fits into society.. if nothing else, is practical to have.

It's a good idea to have someone there when you're old and drooling and crapping yourself.. someone who's not a low-end retirement home nurse who's going to beat the crap out of you for having to change your diaper or because you want to watch The Flintstones instead of her Oprah or whatever it is today.

I liked sex, but I hated having to sleep with the person in the same bed afterward. Too hot, and I can't cuddle and sleep at the same time. Of course, these were legal times. A king size bed with a minimal distance of 4 feet and an icy cold bedroom might have helped.
