Interesting thing about the 3 Chinese curses is on the surface they sound like blessings.

-May you live in interesting times
-May you come to the attention of those in authority
-May you find what you are looking for

This is the order from which the curses are recited from least severe to most severe. Although I find it makes the most sense chronologically if you reverse the order.

-May you find what you are looking for (yes I found her, she is beautiful and I want her)
-May you come to the attention of those in authority (they found out I'm a pedo and now the police are investigating)
-May you live in interesting times (prisons are pretty interesting places aren't they?)

Basically what I'm trying to say is this: Pedophilia is a Chinese curse.
