Saw a Ray Bradburry Theater episode over weekend..

Some very bodily-attractive young boy in swim tights who for one reason or another, had to obey military orders from some man, who eventually slipped into the pool and for some reason couldn't swim, coincidentally.

He had just ordered the boy to stand there at attention at the pool edge for an hour, and being obedient, he would not save his master.

I detected a 70's or early 80's hidden boy-lover theme.

I was glad for a past time when nobody was actively trying to muddle boy-girl identities. I winced as well, remembering a past teacher who swore to us that the fall of Greece or Rome came by way of gender confusion. Used to consider him off-balance. I never knew this eventual current reality would ever place me firmly anywhere on a political spectrum either, but when the spectrum itself shifts, one finds he may have no control over the labels he suddenly acquires.

So be it.

Also, I didn't like the boy personally, but a part of me made a list of BC'ers I would have shown the episode to if we were all still in touch/alive.

Also gave me a slight wonder about RB's proclivities himself.
