I have been trying to get involved with community theatre. It is a game left to those with huge dreams and little sense of reality.

I thought it would allow me to develop my social skills ( okay fine, I hoped it would allow me to interact with females under the age of 50 ).

Turns out, acting is actually pretty fucking hard and shit. Everyone always tries to outdo and upstage you. It is a battle for success where success is defined as 'acting infront of an audience of 10 people who thinks they can do better than you'.

For those of you under 25, I say this: Look forward to your midlife crisis, because it will take you places where no man should ever go.
