Agree or Disagree and why

In my opinion one of the biggest mistake that nearly all parents or anyone else makes in raising children is conditioning them to only associate with people their own age,this one thing has caused literally no end to problems and is not only dangerous to Children them self's but also to other people as well, what are your opinions on this?
