There is a middle ground between saying "Hi! Mrs. Doe, how's your day? Hey by the way, I'm a pedophile! :)" and saying "OMG, Mrs. Doe, those pedos! Can you believe those sickos! You have to be careful!"

There is a huge middle ground between those two extremes.
