How long does it take to register in GirlChat?

Could anybody please let me know how long does it take to register a nick in GirlChat?

I need to know this for a friend who says he sent you an email a month ago and has not received any reply yet, we don´t know if his email went missing or if one month is what it usually takes for a nick being registered.

I understand GirlChat is volunteer run, I am not trying to rush you or anything.

Would I be correct assuming you get back to people by email after they registered a nick?
