I don't live in America, there's scary strange people in every country.

Wear a mask, wash your hands, stay at home if you can, get vaccinated if you can. I really don't see the harm in wearing a mask, it's not like masks increase the risk. If the experts are right then it helps to reduce risk, if the experts are wrong it doesn't increase risk so there's no real down side apart from upsetting pride or vanity.
