we, here at the pink pages, are more inclined to be civilized, less emotional, and generally discrete about our suffering. Whereas they are not.

That does not make us superior to them. In fact, it often paints us weak and laughed upon; pitied. Our reluctance to 'stir', a weakness, perhaps contributing to the reason our plight remains yet unheard.
