Girls are female, and feminism is (at its core) about liberating the female. Mainstream feminism's failing is that it has hitherto left the girl out of the equation, though not entirely (see equal education, among other things).

It's precisely because of my love of girls that I want to ensure they have a decent life when they become adults. I don't discard my affection for them the moment they become women.

One could just as easily say 'that you believe girls should grow up to be oppressed women only serves to show you're NOT a GLer.'

You can't tell me what I do or don't love, just as I can't tell you what you do or don't love. one of us believes that the other is misguided, that is all.

And I don't demand anything, I'm just sharing my opinion. I have made very clear that I recognise the 'bad' feminism you refer to. I was just curious to see if you recognise that not all feminists are our enemy.

If a group of high-profile feminists came out, changed one thing in their theories, and said 'we believe little girls, as well as women, should have the right to make their own sexual choices.' What would you think of that?
